Canon EOS Rebel T2i

I am a frequent upgrader and loyal fans Canon. I swapped from a bygone years T1i XSI, and now this year’s T2i. I was in the days following the sequence of 7D, until they announced the T2i, with all the features I wanted from 7D half the cost. I immediately pre-ordered and have the Canon EOS Rebel T2i fun with him in the last 24 hours. Am I the verdict so far? I’m in love with the SLR.

I think that iterations in recent years, comparable in the Rebel series were in quality. Actions T2i many advantages and disadvantages, including its predecessors, and, finally, not much has really changed. That is, very minor things that were huge changes for me. I’m in the video, which is great, what I wanted in the 7D. Both the T2i 7D and have stereo audio input. My Canon EOS Rebel T1i just had the high-mono microphone, which is unacceptable for someone who makes more videos at home with this device. For this feature, as well as full manual control of video recording (not available in T1i) and 1080/24p (30p and if you choose), this upgrade common sense, if you’re serious about the video. 720p/60 is really cool for the frame rate silky, although I personally feel of cinema as the best video 24p.

As for what really is the camera for the photo, it is still the king (in the digital SLR category for mid-entry level). 18 Megapixel really, really, more than any other person really needs. My XSi a few years ago met all my needs with 12MP, but creates 18 for bragging even better for the general public. “How many mega pixies is this thing? Is it eighteen? OMG, you’re a pro!” Anyway, right now on the road. Noise levels in most of the photos I have are pretty decent for 18 million pixels. It is comparable to the noise 15MP T1i what I experienced so far. ISO 6400 is now a standard option, rather than a broader framework (ISO 12800) is, is it nice to have if you never use them hoped.

The kit lens is of course the same old 18-55 I bought almost 5 times today. A big budget and an excellent value lens, but I absolutely can not again be used for the purchase of some of the best lenses Canon has to offer. If the money is there, it will not regret the investment of a few hundred dollars from the finest glass. Otherwise, the 18-55 is an ideal destination for a start.

Only major complaint I have is the white balance under tungsten lighting is still not as accurate as I want. I also wish they kept the same LP-E5 battery so that the two would be compatible with my two cameras. And nitpick, the Rebel name “is stupid, to be quite honest. It should be named “550D” as it is in the European market. SDXC support is cool, but I can not really on that I use to comment on SDHC cards for the foreseeable future. Oh, and the keys are changed something a welcome change. It is a little friendlier than before.

Finally, if you’re considering upgrading from a T1i, then it is not really a compelling reason, unless you spend hundreds of good only for the pleasure of working with the latest gadgets (I), unless you in this for the video support, what is surprising is that price. You used to spend at least a few thousand dollars on a professional camcorder, the type of video media, you now get a digital SLR for the consumer to get a very reasonable price. Thank you, Canon! Oh, and Amazon get to super fast!
